Just a few, off video so not brilliant quality
but still some good pictures :)

Bill
Threlfall, the commentator, called it the best Mixed Doubles
match he'd ever seen and both he and Mark Cox said very
many complimentary things about Daniela's game and her
future in tennis. And about Leos Friedl too. He played a
great game as well.

To play such a great game in
front of an almost empty stadium must say a great deal
about all four players' concentration and will to win!
Which was amply demonstrated when Daniela and Leos
benefited at a very crucial point of the match from the
worst line call ever seen! hehe which the umpire
refused to overule.

No way were Daniela and Leos
going to concede and play a let! Those two are
ruthless!
Thanks Ooyah and Andrew, both excellent pics, I'm
so envious you've both seen Daniela play
live.

Welcome to the Club Andrew :) Great info on your
site.

Big welcome to everyone else too! I hope Daniela's
Club can be one of the best for any tennis player on
Yahoo, just as Daniela will be one of the best players
soon. No doubt about that. She reminds me a lot of the
young Seles, who was the last player before Daniela to
make me want to watch tennis! hehe
With a tv card, I've got a Hauppauge one, they're
only about £30-£40 now depending where you look and
very easy to use, if you've got good reception, as you
do need a decent aerial as well. You can do pictures
and movies off video as well with the same card
:)

Welcome to the Club!
I am a new fan of Daniela. I first saw her play
at Wimbledon on 28th June - I'd been looking forward
to watching her for months because I had a major
hunch about her. I think she's immensely talented, by
far the most impressive newcomer of 2001, and a
definite top-ten prospect.

I am also a fan of
Monica Seles, Jelena Dokic, Iva Majoli and Karina
Habsudová.

I'm very happy that Daniela won the mixed doubles at
Wimbledon, and I hope it will give her more confidence for
singles (I'm not too concerned about her losses in Vienna
this week - she must just have been tired and/or
didn't have time to prepare for a clay-court
tournament).

I've added my favourite Daniela photo to --Default
Album--, and have some others to add (once I've done a
thorough check of what's here already).

I'm writing
my Wimbledon 2001 report, and will post it on the
Internet when I've finished.

GO DANIELA!
:D

--
Andrew

Just two other Wimbledon pictures still to be
scanned and posted.
Wonder how long it will be before
she comes to our shores again ? At least she'll be
back at Wimbledon next year, if only to defend her
mixed doubles title !!!
Just starting to scan some of my photographs from
Wimbledon, after collecting the prints today. Completely
forgot that had used the first four frames of one film
at Eastbourne, the week before Wimbledon and was
pleased to find this pic of Daniela that I snapped when
she was smiling (even if it was a smile directed at
someone else !!).
Enjoy !
19 pictures now on here, some really nice ones of
Daniela :) I wonder if she's still celebrating, or has
had to fly off to another tournament.

We'll
soon see how much winning her first Grand Slam title
has done for her confidence, not that Daniela lacks
much of that. She was on court No. 1 while both the
Henman-Ivanisevic and Rafter-Ivanisevic matches were being played
and soaking up all that atmosphere must have
convinced Daniela she has hit the top, big time
:)

This time next year it could well be Daniela making
the sort of singles impact Henin did this year.
Cheers ooyah! Great pic :) Keep 'em coming,
please!

The Beeb, bless them, chose to show just a few
minutes of the semi-final, if Daniela was American they'd
be raving about her achievement!!

10 pictures
added from the semi, only a couple any good in such a
short showing on the tele - hopefully they will show
the final tomorrow :)
Daniela must think she's dreaming, reaching a
final at her first Wimbledon! There can't be many who
have done that in Wimbledon's history.

Unseeded
with Leos Friedl, beating 4 seeded pairs on the way,
who can say they won't beat their fifth seeds
tomorrow. And todays match was her first ever on Centre
Court.

12 o'clock tomorrow, fingers crossed. Go for it
Daniela!
Poor Daniela never got on to the court, which
must be enormously frustrating when you haven't played
for two days and are raring to go.

One of her
opponents in the Mixed played in a 3 hr Mens Doubles (yawn)
match and I suppose it would have been tough to make
him play the Mixed as well straight
afterwards.

Pity, let's hope he's still knackered tomorrow! It's a
tough game for Daniela and Leos, up against the No. 5
seeds but they've beaten two seeded pairs already,
including the No. 1 seeds!
Andrew, who will you be supporting then? You run
Karina Habsudova's site I know. They could be playing
each other. Mixed loyalties! hehe Let's hope it
happens and you have that problem :)

Karina's on
Court No.1 tomorrow at least, even if Daniela isn't.
They put Daniela on Court 2 tomorrow in the Mixed
quarters :( and over 35's Mens Doubles on the show courts,
who wants to watch that? An outside chance the BBC
might show some of it.

Good luck Daniela! See
you in the Semis, even Wimbers must put you on Centre
Court then!
Brilliant photos ooyah! You have a mean camera
there :) Cheers for sharing them, Daniela in her record
breaking short dress, I can't think anyone's worn one
shorter, bless her :)

Any idea why she has a
plaster on her leg? She had it when she played V Williams
as well. Looks good on her hehe.

Welcome to
everyone else too :) Please post any news you have about
Daniela and photos. Please!
Into the Mixed quarter-finals! Today they beat
another seeded pair, Novak and Oremans.

Sooner or
later even the BBC will have to show some doubles and
Mixed, assuming the Mixed quarters are played on
Thursday, Women's semi-final day, surely Daniela's match
will be on a show court.

More pictures then,
fingers crossed.
Daniela and Leos only went and beat the top seeds
in the Mixed didn't they! They might go on and win
it! And get on the tele, on a show
court.

Today (Tuesday) they play in the 3rd round on Court No.
2.

Good luck Daniela!
Of Daniela playing Venus Williams on No.1 court,
probably the biggest match of her career so far. Daniela
certainly wasn't nervous and had Williams flustered for a
lot of the first set. But for a disputed line call
that went against her, much to the annoyance of the
crowd, Daniela might have won the first set.

She
was level in the second but a break for rain seemed
to disrupt her game.

14 pictures of Daniela
in this match.
Daniela is in action again today in the 2nd round Mixed with Leos Friedl, but
they are up against the No. 1 seeds, which is bad luck. But you never
know.

Go Daniela!
Daniela and her partner Karina Habsudova just
lost their 3rd round Doubles match at Wimbledon, a
double shame because if they had won they almost
certainly have played Dokic and Martinez in the next round,
and that would surely have been put on a show
court.

So an opportunity to get more pictures of Daniela is
lost too, I'll have to wait to the next tour events.
From the Birmingham UK tournament June this year
where Daniela reached the semi-final, losing to
Oremans. Just over a week later she got her revenge on
Oremans at Wimbledon.

13 pictures of Daniela,
looking very lovely as ever, in the photo section :)
If you don't know and you're as tennis fan, you
will for sure know her name very, very soon. I think
she's currently ranked about 65. Sue Barker, on BBC TV,
confidently predicts she will be a Top 10 player. For 45
minutes last Wednesday Daniela had Venus Williams running
all over the court keeping up with the pace of her
shots.

And she kept on making Venus wait to serve hehe. Good
to see that. I don't think Daniela lacks confidence!
I think it takes two days (ish) for these clubs to show up on Yahoo's lists, by
then I'll have pictures and Daniela's Wimbledon results here. If you find the
Club before then, join and check back :)
