Daniela is not injured AFAIK. I noticed that she wasn't on the
commitments for Indian Wells some time in early February, so she
never intended to play there (except possibly as a late entry).

Although Daniela won Indian Wells in 2002, she has a poor 3-3
win/loss record there in 2003-2005. I'm disappointed that she didn't
want to return to the scene of her greatest triumph, but I guess that
when she planned her schedule for 2006, she just decided to rest
during Indian Wells, and get ready for Miami which is now mandatory.
