I agree that if Daniela would play in Hopman Cup, she would not be
No. 17. However, I am questioning if two places in rankings
(actually it is not ranking which is important but more money) is
more valuable than representing your own country. Daniela is not
100% fit due to playing those two tournaments - so her decision not
to play with Dominik is questionable. Really GREAT PLAYERS prefer to
represent their own country in team competition than to make
money...I don't care if I am right or wrong, but I just don't like
Daniela's attitude to Slovak people and country, that's all.
Good news is that Jarmila Gajdosova won her three qualification
matches and is in the main draw. After not being 100% fit, Daniela
might lose her 1st round match against Obata, and consequently
Jarmila has a chance to become the best Slovak girl at this years'
AUS OPEN. She has already won three matches!!!
