and just confirmed that clay is not her surface. That would not be a
tragedy, much better players are losing in 1st rounds on clay. Judging
also from her results in doubles in last tournaments, she might be in
more serious crisis. I don't expect her to win a single match on clay
before Roland Garros - and since she is playing much better at Grand
Slams, she should be able to win a match or two in Paris. Her
performance and results on grass will tell more about what shape she
is in...Daniela did not play for Slovakia in Fed Cup (bad decision)
mainly because she did not want to jump from clay to a hard court, but
obviously it does not matter - she is playing badly enough even
without playing in Switzerland.
