It's so cool to see the Slovak team spearheaded by such a gorgeous
duo! :-) (And Dominika Cibulková is very pretty - it's nice that
they allowed her to play the dead singles-rubber).


Daniela: "We had to keep our concentration. Everybody expected us to
win, and we were under pressure because of that, but we have done it
and that is good.

"I started nervously against Tangphong on Saturday. My pulse was
nearly at 200. It was the first time I had played in this arena
[Sibamac Arena], and my friends and family were among the fans.

"But everything was okay when I started to concentrate on the match.
I made seven unforced errors in that match, and that could be my
record!

"I am happy I helped our team, and we are back among the teams we
should be. It was very nice to play in front of our home-fans, and
that helped me a couple of times.

"All the opponents are as good as each other from now on. The most
important thing is to play at home, but I feel we can repeat the
success of 2002." [when Slovakia won the Fed Cup]

Daniela has pulled out of this tournament with a right-foot
injury. :-(

Daniela: "I am very disappointed about not being able to come to
Cincinnati. Unfortunately, I injured my foot during Fed Cup. I was
looking forward to Cincinnati, as it is one of my favourite American
cities."
