www.wimbledon.org while the idiots who control Freeview BBC showed
Federer v Gasquet on BBC 2 and Freeview-channel 301 simultaneously -
men's tennis on all four channels! :-||

It /was/ televised from 3-3 (0/40) in the second to 3-1 (0/15) in
the third. The quality of tennis was much higher from both players
than yesterday. It's a shame that one of these lovely ladies had to
lose in the first round.

Daniela is still being coached by Spaniards from the Casal/Sánchez
academy in Barcelona. The reason for this (according to the
commentator) may be to give her more topspin, and hence more margin
for error.


Daniela plays Jamea Jackson in the second round, after Jackson
struggled past Kirsten Flipkens 4-6 6-1 6-4. I still expect Daniela
to lose, after watching Jackson beat Maria Sharapova 6-4 6-4 at
Birmingham, but her improved form today, together with Jackson's
struggle, mean that it shouldn't be by an embarrassing scoreline.
