Daniela has parted company with her coach Nigel Sears for the second
time in her career. They started working together at Birmingham
2001, and he left her in November 2003, coming back to her in
February 2004 after she persuaded him of her commitment to tennis
after her off-court personal problems of 2003.

Sears didn't give Daniela the tolerance she deserved. He actually
walked out of Daniela's second-round match at the French Open 2003,
because he could not bear to watch her making so many wanton errors.

Daniela: "Yes, I have finished my co-operation with British coach
Nigel Sears. I will tell you my official view next week in Warsaw."

Whatever her official view will be, it's a strange coincidence that
the news broke just three days after the Fed Cup tie between
Slovakia and Great Britain. Perhaps Sears had a conflict of
loyalties there?

Slovakia will play Thailand in a World Group II play-off tie on
15th/16th July, with the winner going into World Group II for 2007.
The tie will be held in Slovakia, which is a shame in one respect:
Daniela won't get the jirobkk treatment that Magdaléna Rybáriková
and Dominika Cibulková got last year!

In the meantime, Daniela will prepare for the clay-court season at
the Emilio Sánchez tennis-academy in Barcelona.
