I waited all day to see the Slovak team on BBC 1, and I wasn't
disappointed! I spotted Daniela in the middle of the front row,
wearing a red jacket and white pedal-pushers - much nicer than the
funereal grey outfits that the Slovaks wore at Sydney 2000.

Daniela was without a doubt the most stunningly attractive lady I
saw in the opening ceremony.

I thought Daniela would be the only representative of my fanship at
the opening ceremony, but then Björk Guðmundsdóttir performed a new
song! :-) She releases her new album _Medulla_ on 30th August.

Daniela's first-round opponent, Claudine Schaul, carried the flag
for Luxembourg! Other tennis-players to carry the flags for their
countries were Roger Federer (Switzerland) and Paradorn Srichaphan
(Thailand).
