The Cardinals have offered Dennis Green a contract to
be their new head coach, the Arizona Republic reported.
Vice presidents Michael Bidwill and Rod Graves traveled
to San Diego to meet with Green on Tuesday and made the
offer later that evening. The details of the contract
are not known. The two sides are expected to continue
negotiations on Wednesday. Green coached the Minnesota
Vikings from 1992-2001, compiling a 97-62 regular season
record and appearing in eight postseasons. The Cardinals
have previously interviewed former Giants' head coach
Jim Fassel, Patriots' defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel,
and Eagles' defensive coordinator Jim Johnson.
