It's Lance Armstrong's private residence, he has a house there.  It's not open to the public other than for this race.  He and his buddies were out there riding around on the trails Sunday.

Some of ya'll might be interested in these races.  They involve mountain biking, and are very close to home.

Tough! I found myself searching for lower gears. One rider said when I asked for
trail condition: "if you can ride a lap without a dab or getting off your bike,
you're good". I'd say that's a fair description of the trail.

Climbing is spread out all through out not just one particular area. Start,
middle and at the end, you will be climbing.... on limestone rocks!

Kudos to SS racers who will do it on Sunday.

Juan Pelota Ranch is a great trail. Not for the weak of heart! It made our trail system look like a child's play. Reminds me of Camp Eagle and Reimers Ranch put together. Agreed....I enjoyed the ride but definitely walked more than I would have liked. Of course, doing a beautiful low-speed endo in the first half-mile tends to make me a little skittish :-)

Steve and Kit's group cleared up the trail last week from the bowl coming back. The bypass is still a temporary trail. If we get a big enough turnout, we can work on a permanent solution.

Juan Pelota Ranch is a great trail. Not for the weak of heart! It made our trail system look like a child's play. Reminds me of Camp Eagle and Reimers Ranch put together. It's a fun trail with lots of technical climbing. Oh, did I forget to mention rocks? Lots of awesome view when you get to the top, real nice scenery.

Gerry,

I think it is Bill's loper. Is it a Fiskar? I rode the trail today and the
bypass we put in flows pretty good. Took some time and cleaned a lot of the face
slappers over on the trails around Shermans house too.

& FYI Chris the whiskey was a great idea!  but I did care that we missed the first part.... I think we missed important info. about the whole story.  But I did get over it the more I drank!  LoL

Hi Mel.
What happened during the first showing?

I saw it in Humble.  The employees were having some technical difficulties with the set up and we lost the first 5 or so minutes.

On a good note, we snuck in a little whiskey to mix with our softdrinks.  So ultimately we didn't really care that the first few minutes of the movie were a wash.

:)

Mel - you might want to check with Willowbrook, I just heard they cancelled due to "technical difficulties".  It's still on at some other venues around town.

Anybody registered to pre-ride and/or race who wants to pre-ride this Sunday,
the 15th? There's a packet pick-up this Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. We
plan to carpool and leave early Sunday, it's about a 4 hour drive.
