Collins side is in great shape as expected. West side is good, downed
tree on the north of the figure 8 trail. Creekside is good with one
wet spot. East (street) side is wet and muddy on the usual low areas.
Use the bypass trail instead, it is serving it's purpose right now.
Kudos to riders who walk and carry their bikes on the low and muddy
areas of the East side. I noticed that tire marks disappear before
the wet spots, good responsible riders.
I would also like to share something positive with the group. I met
Jeremy and his friend on the West side earlier. Neither of them is a
member of this group. Jeremy is from our area, his friend is
not. All they know is somebody builds and maintains the trails. I met
them cutting some face slappers, doing their share of work. We
chatted a little but I never had the chance to thank them.
On my way back home, I was thinking, how many riders do this "nickle
and dime" work while riding? Perhaps you cannot join us in our work
parties, but this "nickle and dime" work is very much appreciated. We
seldom acknowledge this type of work. I would like to thank everyone
for their help. Remember, nickle and dime makes a buck. A buck makes
hundred, hundred makes..... thanks again.
