Summer Time in "????"
We call this area many things. Some call it "1960", others call it "Champions", still others call it "Spring". What do you call the area around I-45 to US-249 to FM 2920 to the Sam Houston Toll Road? When you are telling someone where you live and/or work what name works best?
One of the Cultural District's objectives is to promote our area and many believe we need an identity--a phrase that communicates where we are and that is recognized throught the region.
Other areas in the Houston area are known by one name and they do not have the advantages of our area. We, and other groups in our area, want to try again to find a word or phrase that "fits" and will "stick".
Please email your thoughts, ideas and comments by clicking here. Your name will not be used--only your idea.
This is not the first effort to "brand" our area. The results of the last effort was "The Great Northwest ". That did not "stick" then and some think it does not "fit" now. What do you think?

HURRY - FINAL DAYS Forever Plaid runs through Saturday, July 8
This deliciously goofy revue centers on Sparky, Smudge, Jinx, and Frankie, four young, eager male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950's on the way to their first big concert, who have now been miraculously revived for a posthumous chance to fulfill their dream of performing the show that never was. This yester-year romp, filled with music and laughter, is perfect for audience members of all ages.
