The ride sounds great and details will also be available on Cheshire County Council's website as soon as Graham sends them to me.
I attended Cllr Dave Bennett's funeral on Wednesday. It was very moving with so many people standing up to speak about Dave'sife and achievements.
The City Council will have to find a replacement for the Cycle Working Party as soon as possible but no one springs to mind as the obvious replacement.
I'm so very sorry that Dave will not be around to see the final section of the canal towpath between Pretty Bridge and Stoak being completed. He used that route so very often and always asked about progress on the final section. By a remarkable coincidence, work started on the section on Wednesday, the day of his funeral.
No one should underestimate his work behind the scenes,making Members aware of the needs of cyclists in Chester. So much more was achieved simply because of his enthusiasm for cycling and the environment in general.
I've said it before but I have not problem saying it again - he will be missed.
