Elegantly put Roy. I do wish I had your literary skills. Yes, the site should have been hidden as we have both suggested and that would have prevented this situation arising. The important thing though is to learn the lessons. The site itself is “wheelie good”, genuinely good and with lots of potential. The fact that the forum generated a debate before the site is even “live” shows that there is a demand for a local cycling forum. I think that this augers well for the future if we can sort out the immediate issues. For example if the Campaign is to run a forum then someone needs to read the posts each day and step in appropriately with a proper explanation at an early stage. If that had happened in this case the speculation would have stopped on day one.
