Re: [cyclomania] Chester Cycle City

It is a sad reflection of ourselves that those who stick their heads above the parpet are those most likely to get clipped by passing boots when trying to do good work. .  Our greatest risk is not doing something - but doing nout.

We should value the effort put into the new site by those with otherwise busy lives.  We run a bigh risk if we take them for granted.

God knows promoting cycling, should be the easiest thing in the world,   But to listen to some members of the public, (including perversely, sometimes our own), you'd think it was more like advocating a return of the Great Plague.

I suggest the webmaster conceals entry to the new site behind a single word on the Campaign website.  This is what our North Wales webmaster did when we were building a new section.   Only we two knew where it was.  With the Chester site it could be safe in the hands of a small monitoring group before it breaks into the bright sunshine to the wonderment of the entire world.

To those in the boiler house - try not to be disheartened - I've seen it all before..

Have a delightful weekend

Elegantly put Roy. I do wish I had your literary skills. Yes, the site should have been hidden as we have both suggested and that would have prevented this...

Roy, I wish it was as easy as hiding the site behind one word on the Campaign website. The issue with a content management system like the one we are using is...
