Hi Martin

Re your email enquiry.  I telephoned your office late afternoon but was informed you had left for the day.

Herewith CTC's position

CTC's  first thoughts must go out to the c500 employees and their families facing hardship in these uncertain times.  Wrekin was a company with a long track record of specialist  projects in the built  environment field.  The experience within its workforce must not be lost

CTC has vigorously campaigned for a safe cycling and walking route around the Pen Y Clip headland for many years. It is therefore deeply disappointed by the stoppage of work within three weeks of completion.  It trusts top priority will be given to finding a way forward without delay.

Pen y Clip is a visionary project that ticks all the boxes as society strives to build a  low carbon economy.   The public is now beginning to realise what a visionary scheme this is.  Not only for the communities most directly involved - Penmaenmawr and Llanfairfechan, but also the other towns and villages along the coast.

With the planned upgrading of the National Cycle Route between the Penmaenbach headland and Conwy Morfa, it will be a simple matter for even novice cyclists taking a break in Llandudno's guesthouses (to give but one example), to set off along the Conwy Estuary cycleway and enjoy morning coffee in one of the several eating places in Penmaenmawr, Llanfairfechan - or even Aber.
