I was in Caernarfon yesterday and touched base early evening with a chum of mine, Alan, of Beics Menai Cycle Hire http://www.beicsmenai.co.uk/.
He was flushed with enthusiasm having hosted a party from the magnificent cruise line 'Princess'. http://www.princess.com/news/article.jsp?newsArticleId=na791
The ship was berthed outside Holyhead port as the docking facilities are inadequate for its size - its almost as high as Caernarfon Castle
Alan provides a mobile delivery service. He collected pre-booked clients as they disembarked from one of the ships tenders at Holyhead, and took them on a conducted tour of Anglesey.
Apparently the ship will be visiting Liverpool in 2008 for its 'European City of Culture' year'. What an opportunity for an entreprenur in the cycle hire trade over there! And what an interesting example of 'integrated transport' I'm sorry I wasn't around to take some pics.
