Amongst the pethora of emails I get on cycle campaigning, the following comment, in my view, strikes at the heart of things.
As for the way forward - nothing, repeat, nothing, happens until you
actually begin to stop the traffic. I wish it were otherwise, but in
this country arguments are weighed not on their merits but on the
potential for trouble of those on either side.
