Nice idea.

I saw the Al Gore global warming movie ast week ("The Inconvenient Truth"). What he does is very artfully debunk many of the denialist retorts to the claim that Glbal Warming is a threat. Its a combination of facts, compelling images and clever use of humour to ridicule the counter-claims. The movie is basically the lecture he's given 1000s of times in many countires over many years. As wel as a book of retorts, I'd love to have the cycling equivalent of this. The case, I feel, is there, it just needs the spokesman!

I have long felt there is a need for a book of snappy answers to the codswollop served up by the anti-cycling brigade.  George Bernard Shaw and Ken Livingstone would certainly deserve a slot within its perfumed pages.  And no doubt we all have our own favourites - some personally crafted. 

 

 I have a whole range of them.  One of my latest when I hear motorists say they never see cyclists on the road, is,  'That's odd, when I'm on my bike I see thousands of cars, so why shouldn't they see me?' 

 

I would think funding for the book should be quite easily obtained from variety of sources
