Another marvellous spread in the Independent today featuring cycling in the Netherlands. And what a wonderful pic of the mother with two kids on the back - all without helmets ! As a campaigner at the cutting edge of public antipathy, I reckon helmets (and sun glasses), do more harm to cycling than all the Jeremy Clarkesons around. We must be a threat, otherwise we wouldn't be wearing helmets, so unconsciously goes the wisdom, I suspect. Our troops in Iraq have learned that lesson for sure..
