As I write the excitement amongst the public who visit every evening to see how things are chugging along, is palpable.
This is what forced a public inquiry by primarily one person - in opposition !
And still some curtain twitchers are complaining because lorries ar delivering coastal protection rocks early in the morning to get things over and done with quickly.
Some members of the adjacent golf club have tossed rocks at the contractors workmen who initially were quite blasé about being cursed by little old men. And a cafe has refused to serve the workman. There wouldn't have been a squeak if cyclists were excluded from the scheme which runs several miles from Llandudno West Shore to Glan Conwy.
Nobody tell me cycling doesn't need special promotional assistance - and protection from the bizarre opposition which lurks in every street in the Queendom. Without two CTC old codgers punching above their weight, and pulling every string in sight, it's highly doubtful this scheme would have got this far. And there are still skirmishes with the opposition, with Maurice and I tweaking the battle plan by the day
