That sounds good - though as yesterday the work had not yet started. I think it woiuld be helpful to have a new sign explaining the possible timescale for the full route, under the arches and past the stables.
The next issue will be what happens on Race Days. Could the route be opened after the last race each day and closed say at 9.30 in the morning - this would at lease allow commuters to use the facility.
Thanks for the information.

David,
I have been advised that the work to finish off the racecourse section of the riverside promenade should be complete by wednesday 26th April, I will therefore look to have it open by thursday 27th april. I will let you know if there are any changes to the circumstances.
Regards
Chris

David,
I have received a number of phone calls from residents in Curzon Park and
elsewhere regarding the paths opening and I have all the contacts including yours so I can contact them to let them know a date once I know it.
I have been waiting for the all clear with regard to health and safety because we are only at the end of phase 1 and went for a walk down there last week with management. We have instructed a contractor to install some fencing either side of the Grosvenor bridge where the drop to the river is at its most severe, this should be completed in the next two weeks and then we are free to open the path to the public. I wanted to withhold advising people of a date until I know we can open it and am waiting for that information from the contractor.
As soon as I know I will let you know, and if there is anything else I can do please dont hesitate to ask
Regards
Chris

The end of March has passed. Any news on when the Roodee path is opening - the locals are getting restless ?
