Subject: [cyclomania] The Edge Bike Shop
Just a quick note to let you know about the excellent service I have
received this week from one of our local bike shops. I bought a new
chain
from The Edge on Monday. When putting it on my bike, I noticed how
badly
worn the rear sprockets were. I went back to The Edge and talked to the
staff there, and got some advice. They said putting a new cassette on
wasn't a DIY job, unless I had the three special tools that would be
required. "Yeah, right", I thought, "how much are you going to charge
to do
it?"
Anyway, I was told to bring the rear wheel in, and they would do it for
free
while I waited. So, I took it in during my lunch hour today, and, sure
enough, they put the new cassette on in 3 minutes while I browsed around
the
shop. And they gave me a 10% Chester Cycling Campaign member discount,
as
well!
I know where I am taking my business in future...........
Wish me luck on the Liverpool - Chester - Liverpool ride this Sunday.
Anyone else out there doing the ride this year?
