Marshall is fantastic as a reliever.

Subject: [Cubs' Coven] Cubs should trade Harden
I think the Cubs should trade Harden, and restock the system a bit. They could
try to get a lefty reliever in the deal, but since any team that would likely be
trading for him would be in the race, that would be difficult. However, I don't
want him here anymore. He has not been the Rich Harden that came over last year,
and I DON'T want the Cubs signing him to a long-term deal at the end of the
season.
The thing that is so frustrating is that the guy has dominant stuff. He just
seems to lose focus for an inning or two every game. He gives up 4 runs, and
with this offense, that is all it takes - GAME OVER.
With all the teams still in the race, I think Harden would probably still
command a decent price. Especially, from teams who were looking to get Halladay
but missed out. I understand that he is a FA at the end of the year and that
this will hurt his value. However, you should still be able to get a decent
prospect or two for him.
The best thing about this deal is that you don't even have to give up on this
year to stock up a little for the future. To be honest, I think Marshall, or
maybe even Hart if he pitches like he did the other day, would give you just as
much as Harden had been giving us.
