If the Cubs expect anything good to happen this year this series will have to be
the beginning of it.

The Cubs are a wounded animal after losing to the Braves, the Cards are riding
high after winning 2 of 3 from the Brew Crew.

The Cubs offense looks disjointed. Fonsie is mad at Lou to which I say, Oh well,
start hitting you premadonna douche. Derick Lee cannot carry the team forever.

Soto is out just when he was getting back to some form.
Dempster is out for one of those reasons that I have to place him on the Sammy
Sosa sneeze list.

So what do the Cubs have left?

This series will tell us all.

If they fail then I recommend picking up cheap Cubs gear when it goes to the
discount rack.

If they succeed (Succeed = 2 of the 4 or better; Failure is 1 of 4 or 0 of 4)
then the Cubs will get hot just before the break. Then the big race to the
finish line.

The great thing about Lilly being the only Cubs at the ASG is that the Cub
players can rest and not think about baseball for a short amount of time. I hope
they use that time wisely.

I still think that this Cubs team will get white hot and roll through the
opposition taking that momentum into the playoff and the series.

There just to good of a team.
