I agree with Karen’s comments. In
addition, I would like to remind you that I do this on a voluntary basis. If
you would like to complain in the future I’d suggest you do so in a more civil
manner. By the way, I spent many hours of the last few weeks, making CBC phone
calls, writing up meeting notes, sending emails, opening a bank account,
getting a new P.O. Box, filing back federal tax reports, and filing state
reports that haven’t been filed in 5 years and paying the fees with my
own money until I can be reimbursed. So the next time you are feeling so repulsed
by an oversight that you refuse to attend a meeting, I suggest you take over my
job and tasks. I’d be more than happy to step down.

-Next CBC Meeting
I refuse
to attend a "bicycle coalition" meeting, where only 'car
first' directions are given to a meeting that takes place in a train
station. NO directions by bicycle!!! NO train schedule information!!!
I found this 'reminder' announcement to be insensitive (to the
environment and the bicycling as transportation community) and
repugnant.
It just spells an "addicted to cars" attitude.
For those of you suckers, who are attending:
Train 1548 makes stops in Greenwich, and all
stops from Stamford
to New Haven, arriving in New Haven at 6:33 p.m.; train 1550 makes all
stops from Harrison to Stamford then makes all
stops from Darien
except Royawton and Southport. Train # 1556
offers a 25-minute
express ride from Stamford to Bridgeport (22 miles) then makes local
stops to New Haven (for a total 53-minute travel
time between Stamford
& New Haven)
By bicycle:
Ride to U.S. 1 and either ride north or south until you get to the Union Avenue
portion of U.S. 1; Union Station is on Long Island Sound
side of the street.
A reminder that the next CBC meeting is: Wednesday, July 18, 2007 7:00 p.m Conference room A, 4th Floor Union Station, New Haven, Southside (CT Dept. of...
