John,
I was born and raised in Waterbury and I have done a lot of research
on Roger Connor. If you're looking for any specific information,
let me know and I can try to send you material from my file.
Two very good bios on Connor come to mind, if you want to track them
down.
The first is in a SABR-published book titled "Baseball's First
Stars" edited by Frederick Ivor-Campbell, Robert L. Tiemann and Mark
Rucker.
The second is in a book titled "Ghosts in the Gallery at
Cooperstown: 16 Forgotten Members of the Hall of Fame" by David L.
Fleitz (McFarland & Co.)
Good luck.
Jim
