Hi,

My name is John Wiehn and I just signed up on the ct-sabr
yahoo group.

At present time my profession is a Librarian at a local
public library. I enjoy researching the history of my
hometown of Waterbury, Connecticut.

One of personal pursuits at present is finding information
and photos of the Irish of Waterbury. I hope some day to
write a book on the Irish in Waterbury.

I recently came across the name of Red Donahue. Red
was born in Waterbury of Irish Parents and played
major league baseball from 1891 to 1896. He also
was a umpire for several games. Can anyone suggest
where I can find a photo of Mr. Donahue??

Also is there a reference source that I can look to
that will list all Waterbury natives who played in the
major leagues? I would imagine there must be something
online.
