You just don't get it. Do you honestly think that if
you were teaching correctly and that your students
were good that we would always be on your case? The
biggest problem is that you make Serrada look bad.
And when you make Serrada look bad, you make the
people within Serrada look bad, mainly the school.
GM Cabales is the sole owner of Serrada. Also, just
so you know, Serrada would also be a trademark owned
by the Cabales family that has been in use since about
1968. When did you start training again? That's what
I thought. Fine, let him teach, but he can't use the
words Cabales or Serrada. Furthermore, I can issue
orders to all of the masters. Because if they still
teach Cabales Serrada Escrima, then they still fall
under the GM of the system. You can teach whatever
you want, but if you decide to teach Cabales Serrada
Escrima, then you WILL answer to GM Vincent.
So, if GM Angel were still alive would you still be
accountable to him? How about the rest of the
Masters? You damn right you would and if you had even
one ounce of respect for him you would give the same
to GM Vincent.
You have worked out with him before. You know that
he still knows more than all of the other masters
combined. As a matter of fact, if I'm not mistaken,
he still teaches you techniques when you come to
Stockton because you never learned all of yours in the
first place.
The problem with your teaching is this. You
advertise that you will teach them the entire system
in a few months and that after that, they are able to
go out and teach other people. Well outside of divine
intervention, that is pure BS. It is impossible to
teach every technique in Serrada in that amount of
time. It's even more impossible to retain that amount
of information in that short of a period. And if
these aren't enough, it will be impossible to be able
to use this art effectively in such a short time.
Mainly because you will have no concept of what is
going on. So what you end up with is crappy
instructors making more crappy students.
Also, why do you think GM Angel would still practice
the basic techniques? Maybe he just liked doing them
over and over? NO!!! The reason you should spend a
couple of months on angle one is so that you can
ensure you know the PROPER techniques. When you do
them over and over, your body will memorize them.
Then, when the time comes for you to use it, it will
be instinctive. Because YOU WILL NOT HAVE TIME TO
THINK ABOUT IT. This McSerrada factory that you have
going will not prepare you for these types of
situations, especially if you are graduating
instructors in anything less than three years.
Also, just so that we don't forget. To be an
instructor in Serrada, you have to have an Advanced
Degree. This entails a lot more than just basic
techniques. This would include basic and advanced
stick techniques, empty hand techniques, knife
techniques, and takedowns. There are hundreds of the
empty hand/takedowns. Not a single person that you
have ever graduated instructor is proficient in all
these areas. I know this because I know that you are
deficient in some of these areas. That's what happens
when you don't come back and train often with others
who are knowledgeable
And finally respect. I have NO RESPECT for someone
that does not have any respect for the GM of Serrada.
