TIDES *for Saturday
(add 50 min. each day after)

New Moon - November 11th

High Tide: 8.58 ft at 4:19 pm
Low Tide: -.5 ft at 10:05 pm

NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - The call is Sunday..a combo NW and SW swell fills in the
gaps at all beachbreaks, 1-2 foot overhead, lots of set waves. Monday
it stays the same size on the sets, which will come farther apart. By
Tuesday afternoon it's back to overhead, and stays that way through
Thursday. For the next weekend it will be only head high at best, and
will stay like that until another NW and SW combo show up on November
11th and be back to 2+ overhead by 11/14.

Caribbean - Waves knee to knee+ all weekend and Monday, but a few
clean waist high peelers show up Wednesday from a distant NE swell.
It is a good sign.

AREA REPORTS

NICOYA (N)

** From Joe at Witchs Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Surf has been fun in the waist to
chest high range, nothing too special except for earlier in the week
on Tuesday afternoon when this slight swell peaked and brought
overhead gems connecting to the rivermouth. The offshore winds look
like they are starting to kick in, we should see an entirely
different rivermouth within a couple of weeks. All of the past rain
has made sandbars perfect and if/when the offshores start to howl
things should be good for months on end.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Swell is to really
start picking up tomorrow (Saturday 30th October), by Monday it
should reach well overhead with much bigger sets at more exposed
spots like Witch's Rock. Its hard to tell what the weather is going
to do, its been clear and offshore for a few days. If that keeps up
we should have a great weekend for fun in the sun.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - With the tides being
low mid-day, and with this increase in swell, Ollie's Point should
definitely be the call if you can make it out there. Expect overhead
perfect rights connecting to the sand, and bring the video camera as
with the low tide during the day you'll have literally hours and
hours of good waves!

NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- www.witchsrocksurfcamp.com to book the surf
trip of you life!

JACO & HERMOSA

** From Chuck at Chosita del Surf Shop in Jaco -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS -Tamano de las olas y condiciones:
How about 2-4 ft glassy and 50+ yard rides! That's what it was like
this afternoon and it probably will be the same tomorrow so don't
miss it ! It is a bit smaller than yesterday , I feel sorry for
anybody that didn't get to surf with us yesterday it really was
fantastic . Come surfing NOW , theres a few people around but no
crowd and its a pretty mellow group of tourists so its actually
pretty nice here right now ! Anyways enough of the tourism
promoting, time to get some work done !!! Pura Vida and Happy Surfing !

** November 12th is the day of Classic memories and the whole crew
from Sundeck will be in Jaco for a beach fiesta at the Best Western .
Ex world Champion [1977] Shaun Thompson will be in the store to hand
out some autogrphs etc. He has a new clothing line that's kind of
retro but groovy at the same time called SOLITUDE and he will be here
promoting the line and mabe sneaking off for a surf with us ! Come on
by or call 643-3844 for some more + up to date surf or event news .
Also a young lady from Jaco Andreina Samudio one of the riders for
our shop is trying to put together the funds to get to the Junior
World Championship in Tahiti and is looking for some conomic help .
Her needs are @ 1200$ and so far between Alvaro Solano{VISTA GUAPA
SURF CAMP} ,Andrea Diaz {www.wavescr.com} and ourselves at
www.surfoutfitters.com we are almost halfway there. Possible big
sponsor with Economy Rent A Car in the works but she still needs some
help .Any donations will be handled by us and will get to the right
place ! This girl surfs hard and is one of the most consistent and
hard studying/surfing/working surf girls I know so help her if you
can, Thanks Again ! Chuck !
