NATIONAL FORECAST

Pacific - For Sunday, surf is overhead to a foot over in the south
and rainy. Headhigh and clean up north. Monday will be stay the same,
but by late in the day the sets disappear. For Tuesday pack up and go
west, all the way to west Australia or the East Indies because they
are the lucky ones with a macker SW hitting dead on. In Costa Rica,
it's going to get small, down to waist to chest by Wednesday in most
spots. Get out the longboard Thursday through next weekend. Some
relief from the straight south will arrive in ten to twelve days, or
a tropical system may provide wave relief.

Caribbean - The rest of the weekend holds waist to chest high surf
for the beaches, a little bigger on the reefs. It gets small by
Monday afternoon, surf waist high at best. Nothing picks up through
the week, unless a wind swell kicks up from a tropical system. A few
chest high sets show up for Saturday, but dies off fast.

AREA REPORTS

NICOYA (N)

** From Diana at Pura Mar Surf Shop in Tamarindo -

AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones:
Waves in Tamarindo right now are pretty small--not many bigger than
waist high. The week started off a lot bigger with plenty of current
coming from the south, but it's pretty much passed. Morning winds
have been great--light off shore and sometimes staying that way until
afternoon.
medio dia.

WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este
fin de semana (clima y olas): This weekend we can start getting the
double sessions--sunrise and sunset. It doesn't look like there's any
change in wave size forecast. Este fin de semana podemos hacer las
sessiones de surf dobles--del amanecer y del atardecer. Parece que no
se pronostican un cambio en tamano de olas.

BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: Hopefully Langosta will be
good--should have more size than Tamarindo. A late afternoon trip to
Avellanas would be perfect! Esperemos que Langosta sea buena--debe
estar mas grande que Tamarindo. Un viaje a Avellanas en la tarde sera
perfecto!

** From the Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande -

Jaco afternoons are the greatest! Clean headhigh and peaky fun ,
shorepound was even a bit heavy late with the high tide, saw a real
round barrel wrapped around my friend!! Weather okay no rain today
