NATIONAL FORECAST
Pacific - The SSW swell is being blocked in part by the Galapagos, so
it's bigger farther south, much bigger. It will be 3-5 overhead this
weekend and Monday around Dominical, well overhead in Hermosa, but
smaller once you get to Nosara and North, headhigh with a few
overhead sets that sneak past the islands. Swell stays in the picture
until Wednesday evening, then dropping a foot each day through
Saturday. No major swells popping up for the next ten days after.
Caribbean - Waves chest to shoulder high are keeping the weekend
goers happy. It won't last, and by Monday a.m. it will only be chest
max. Tuesday afternoon shows some long period T.S. Earl swell, which
fills in Wednesday to overhead, Thursday it peaks and by Friday it's
back down to head high, with another tropical system on its way.

AREA REPORTS
NICOYA (N)
** From Diana at Pura Mar Surf Shop in Tamarindo -
AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones:
Right now the wind has been going on shore consistantly sometime near
mid-day. Waves in Tamarindo are 2-3 feet. Ahora el viento empieza a
soplar on-shore mas or menos al medio dia. Las olas en Tamarindo
estan de 2-3 pies.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este
fin de semana (clima y olas): A south swell is supposed to come in
over the weekend and light the place up. That should make for nice
evening sessions with the late afternoon tides. Un swell del sur
supuestamente viene este fin de semana para animarnos. Hara buenas
olas para los atardeceres como la marea esta alta en la tarde.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: Langosta is the best on a
south swell provided it doesn't get too much south wind along with
it. Lo mejor para el swell del sur es Langosta mientras no hay
demasiado viento del sur tambien.
** From the Hotel Las Tortugas in Playa Grande -
AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - Tamano de las olas y condiciones:
Small, but some (you have to pick'em)nice waves for this time of the
year. Off shore in the morning with an occasional overhead set.
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - Que va a pasar este
fin de semana (clima y olas): Risky with the high tide moving into
the afternoon, but look for rain and the Accompanying off shores.
Don't surf in the lightning!
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - El mejor lugar a
surfear este fin de semana en su area: Chicken Head Rock and in front
of the hotel.
** From Joe from Witchs Rock Surf Camp in Tamarindo -
AREA WAVE HEIGHTS AND CONDITIONS - The surf this week had been WEAK,
the only good news is that outside of town the south pulses have
brought surf up to the shoulder high plus range....also some nice
offshores on Monday and today (Friday)
WHAT TO EXPECT THIS WEEKEND (weather and waves) - It looks as if the
swell has started to slooooowly turn itself around. Saturday should
show a definite increase, and through the night into Sunday surf
should jump to the overhead to "a few feet" overhead at most spots.
This is going to be one of the bigger swells we've seen in a while.
BEST PLACE TO SURF THIS WEEKEND IN YOUR AREA - With too much swell
lately, its hard to tell what the sandbars in town are going to do
with the big swell. If its too big, find a local reef and get surfing!
NEWS AND UPCOMING EVENTS- WRSC Surf Resort beachfront hotel now open,
www.witchsrocksurfcamp.com, Get Stoked!!!
