Abu Gharib Prison Guards for Justice

By now you’ve probably heard the stories about Specialist Joseph M.
Darby, the alleged man who turned in a CD of hundreds of photographic
images of rape, torture and death at the hands of the Americans in Abu
Gharib Prison.

Well, I served with SPC Darby in Iraq, and I am here to tell you he is
a total liar. That is why I have formed a new 527, called Abu Gharib
Prison Guards for Justice.

If you recall, first he said that he struggled with turning in the
photos for months, and that he finally decided to come clean, even
though it might make the US military look bad. If that flip flopping is
not bad enough, it gets worse. SPC Darby is on the record as saying he
turned them in even though he had said he did not want to go against
his troops. Obviously all he wants to do is smear the good name of
myself, the other Americans in on those photographs, the commanding
officers who looked the other way, and the people at the top who told
us that the Geneva conventions probably don’t apply to Arabs.

SPC Darby is just another high-class, latte-drinkin’, opportunist
college boy, if you consider Somerset Vocational & Technical High
School to be a college. Which I does. It’s just common sense that SPC
Darby signed up for duty in Iraq for no other reason than to further
his career and possibly use his service to our country for a run in the
2032 presidential election.

That’s right. SPC Darby went to Iraq so he could get some photographs
and video clips and stuff of himself so that he could run for President
in 2032.

Look, I was there. And those photographs simply did not happen. And
even if they did happen, we all know how easy it is for photographs to
be taken out of context. For one, my baby’s father, Staff Sergent Ivan
L. Frederick II, only stacked those Iraqis in a pile because he is a
neat freak. Since when is cleanliness not next to Godliness, I ask you?
When you see him holding his thumbs up, remember that he’s not smiling
because he’s taken possibly innocent people and inhumanely degraded
them. He’s smiling because he did a good job at stacking them. With
him, customer service is number one. That’s an American value.
Apparently, this ideal is lost on SPC Darby.

OK, now the one with me holding a leash hooked up to an Arab guy. Sure,
you could say that was abuse. But did you know that at the time I
really thought that fella was a dog? Military health care benefits
don’t cover contact lens, people. Mine are the two-week disposable
kind, and I had been wearing them for close to six months. Hell, my
eyes were so dried out, you could’ve put George Bush naked on the floor
himself and I still would’ve tried to get him to sit.

In fact, although I’ve never met SPC Darby personally, I do recall
overhearing him once asking if they had any nasty pictures of torture
and rape and stuff that he could turn in so he can run for president
one day. Now, at the time I didn’t think nothin’ of that conversation,
but I remembered it verbatim just to be safe. You never know about guys
like SPC Darby. One minute they’re defending the country, the next
minute they’re defending some naked Arab guy’s human rights.
