WorldCup'99 - An Innovative, Intelligent

riend,

Are you a cricket lover? If so,
are you one step further -- a cricket fanatic? Or, do
you need a bunch of guys who are crazy about the
game?

If so, this e-mail is for you. Please
remember,
this is a purely non-commercial venture.

“World Cup ‘99” - Innovative, Interesting, Player & Team
Rankings, Analyses" is a web site set up to provide a
comprehensive, intelligent, and practical rankings of players
and teams in the World Cup. This IS NOT a site
providing just the usual statistics of top run scorers or
wicket takers - it goes beyond mundane and dreary
statistics to the really fun stuff of who the best players
and teams are, based on clearly defined performance
parameters.

Which ranking system you saw penalized
batsmen for run outs, or took away points from bowlers
for No-Balls and Wides bowled? Or, which ranking
system rewarded batsmen for building partnerships,
achieving a strike rate above team’s run rate, or awarded
bonus points to Bowlers for Economy Rate better than
the team average? Know of any Team ranking system
that rewards teams for Margin of Victory and Run Outs
effected penalizes them for Run Outs suffered and Extras
Conceded?

Or, have you seen any World Cup site that
gives you interesting, innovative comparisons of
average team ages with average team experience? Or a site
that tries to analyze whether left-handed batsmen and
left-arm bowlers have performed better than their
right-handed and right-arm counterparts? Or, whether pace
bowlers are more effective than medium pacers or
spinners?

Haven’t seen any?

HERE IS ONE
SYSTEM THAT DOES TAKE THESE FACTORS INTO ACCOUNT!

Just visit:

http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Stands/5247/

And be
prepared to be surprised!

Alternately, if cricket is just not your type of game, forward
this to as many cricket-crazy friends as you know. We
are sure, with the World Cup going on, there must be
a bunch of them around.

Thanks a million!

With best regards,

Karthik “Cricket Crazy”
