I don't think it would be fair for me to play in the SN ADV division after my
finish in the SNAC this year. I can already hear the grumblings and moans by
the SN community.

I am hearing that I have to be from Athens to play for the Athens team.. Also, I
took cash in Pro several months ago for a SN event at Florence I think. It's
been a while. Will I be able to play Advance for Athens? Who is going to be your
Pro player? I don't know much about SN rules so I don't know if options are
limited for me or if I will be eligable for both the pro or advance divisions.
Let me know ok. The dates and money will not be an issue.

Huntsville is planning a team as well, Leslie Easterling is getting it put
together. If you want to play for us, maybe between you, Rick, and Greg someone
could remain eligible at Advanced. That with Chris eligible at Intermediate,
could greatly strengthen our team.

(IE. your team points are 3rd = 100 points and you have two individual winners
in a division your new team score will be 140 with the two 20 point bonuses).

Shawn,

I would like to see you, Rick & Greg on our team. For that to happen, one of you
is going to keep your Am status by not cashing. Rick plans to play Pro in SN Ice
Bowls & Greg does not plan to take plastic if he cashs in any SN tourneys. I
hate to tell anyone what division to play, but if you stayed in Advanced it
would make everything easy.

I am working on the assumption that anyone that plays in your club regularly is eligible. I would think that all who have a league handicap could play for our team. Rick, Chris & Jessica are at our League nearly every session. Why would they not be members of our team?

Jeff, you really need to get back into our league. We need a few more regulars.

We will be at the "new" ASU Sunday at 1:30.

I am hearing that I have to be from Athens to play for the Athens team. Also, I
took cash in Pro several months ago for a SN event at Florence I think. It's
been a while. Will I be able to play Advance for Athens? Who is going to be
your Pro player? I don't know much about SN rules so I don't know if options
are limited for me or if I will be eligable for both the pro or advance
divisions. Let me know ok. The dates and money will not be an issue.

Scores from each player will go towards an overall team score for round one. The
team with the lowest combined round score(all six players added together) will
receive first place points.(10 points per team.....if we have 12 teams enter
then first place points would be 120 with second being 110....if it were only 10
teams then first place points would be 100) Also there will be 20 bonus points
awarded to the winner of each of 6 divisions to add towards their team points.
(IE. your team points are 3rd = 100 points and you have two individual winners
in a division your new team score will be 140 with the two 20 point bonuses).

divisions. Let me know ok. The dates and money will not be an issue.

Thanks
Shawn

The date is April 10th & 11th.

Cost is $50 per player.

Shawn, if you want to play for us we would love to have you. Huntsville is
planning a team as well, Leslie Easterling is getting it put together. If you
want to play for us, maybe between you, Rick, and Greg someone could remain
eligible at Advanced. That with Chris eligible at Intermediate, could greatly
strengthen our team.

could get in. For those of you who don't know, it's going to be at Cedar Hill in
Nashville.

I would be interested, provided it did not conflict with Nationals.

Here is who I have heard from for each position on our SN Cup team. The SN tournament requirement has been lowered to just one event.

Open - Greg & Rick
Masters - Pat
Women - Jessica
Advanced - Chris
Intermediate - Dave Croomes, Bill, Tommy

Anyone else interested in playing & can make it down to Jackson, MS for a weekend in April?

We will have playoffs for disputed positions during Christmas break, right now it looks like a 3 way playoff for 1 Intermediate spot.

I played the "new" ASU yesterday. 3ed #2 all 3 times, so much for that hole
being much easier now. 2ed #3 twice and had a putt spit out, so much for that
hole being harder.

be in his/her own division with the same skill levels of the other teams. (IE
All open A in one division, all open B, and so on and so forth) Scores from each
player will go towards an overall team score for round one. The team with the
lowest combined round score(all six players added together) will receive first
place points.(10 points per team.....if we have 12 teams enter then first place
points would be 120 with second being 110....if it were only 10 teams then first
place points would be 100) Also there will be 20 bonus points awarded to the
winner of each of 6 divisions to add towards their team points. (IE. your team
points are 3rd = 100 points and you have two individual winners in a division
your new team score will be 140 with the two 20 point bonuses).

Round 2 (Team Skills)

and Team Accuracy. 20 Bonus points will be awarded to individual best in five
divisions(all open will compete as one division in this portion)

Driving

1) All players receive two (2) throws apiece from the "Throw Line"

2) A "valid" throw is one that lands within the "Drive Grid"
OB throws, ie. disc not landing in drive grid, will NOT be measured

3) Measurements will be from the Throw Line to where disc 1st hits the ground.
NO skips, slides, rolls, bounces, etc.

4) Foot Faults at Throw Line will be called.

5) ONLY the longest drive (1) from each competitor will will add to the teams
total.

6) Total Team Distance sum will determine Team winners.
This will be a cumulative driving contest(IE open + Masters+
Adv+intermediate+woman= Team distance total feet.
Same distribution of points apply as in 1st round( 1st = 120 if 12 teams 100 if
10 teams and so on....)

7) 20 pt. Team bonus for individual divisional distance winners.
Open(1) Master(1) Adv(1) Am(1) Women(1)

Putting

There will be a basket setup with 5 marks going around the baskets varying in
distance in a spiral shape.
1) Each player will get 2 putts at each station = total of 10 putts
1 point will we awarded for each made putt. 10 bonus points will be given to
anyone who makes all 10 putts.
2) Individual division winners will receive 20 bonus points for team (again Open
will all compete as one division here) If there are 2 players tied they will
split the bonus points. If there are more than 2 players tied there will be a
putt off between tied players. the putt off will be from the farthest point on
the spiral. We will go until someone misses and the other person(s) makes it.
3) Most combined team points wins 1st place points. (same as in previous)

Accuracy

There will be 3 rings around a basket. The outer ring will be worth 1 point,
middle ring worth 5 points, and inner ring worth 10 points. If there is an ace
hit it will be worth 25 points.
1) Each player will get two throws from 5 different stations. Each station will
be no father than120 ft away from basket.(point totals above)
2) Team totals will be combined and most points will be awarded 1st place
points. (same as in previous)
3) Each division winner will receive 20 bonus points for his/her team total.

Round 3 (Doubles) Sunday. This round will have tee times.

1) Each team will have designated all players divisions by Feb 9th, 2010. Those
said divisions are Open A, Open B, Master, Advanced, Intermediate, and Woman.
2) This round will be strictly true alternate shot. (IE if player 1 drives then
player 2 makes an up shot then player 1 finishes out the hole. So player 2 then
MUST drive on next hole and so on and so forth.) Any team caught going out of
turn in this format will automatically lose 50 team points on the spot. NO
EXCEPTIONS.
3) Here is how the teams must be divided: Open A / Woman(division 1), Open B
/Intermediate (division 2), Master/Advanced(division 3)
4) This will also be a cumulative team score (division 1+ division 2 + Division
3 = Team score) Lowest score will receive 1st place points (same as previous)
Division winners will be awarded 20 bonus points to go towards their teams
score.
5) Tee times are as follows: Division 3 will be first up. The bottom 4 team
scores will begin at 9:30 am. Next 4 team scores begin at 9:40am, and top 4 team
scores will begin at 9:50am. (to clarify....there are 12 teams....we will say
A-L in that order from 1st to last. so that would mean teams i,J,K,and L from
Division 3(master/advanced) will start at 9:30am. At 9:40am teams E, F, G, and H

we start over with Division 2. until we end with Division 1 teams A,B,C, and D
beginning at10:50am.

The reason for tee times is so that the teams will get to see the last of each
others rounds. This is a team effort and should be set up in a team orientated
way.

Teams scores and bonus points from this round will be added to the team points
awarded in previous two rounds. Which ever team / City has the most points at
the end will be declared the SN Cup winners.

If 12 teams participate the we will payout 4 places.

Everyone that wants to be on our team, you must play in 3 SN tourneys from
6/1/09 to 2/9/09 to qualify. The SNAC & SNPC will count towards your 3
tournament total. I think we will host 2 events before the 2/9 deadline.
Hartselle's Turkey tourney is SN as well.
