Yeah Scooter B's fastball was nasty hot, but the
true heat was in the air. Temperature's up to a 100
drg graced Sunday's activity, which ultimately
comprised 2 games. The first was another epic pitching
duel. This time, the opponents were Lefty McCabe and
Chente Salinas, who surprised everyone by throwing a gem
for nine innings. Kid Haskett put two on the board
for Chente with a shot to center. However, Vic,
Lefty, John, and Haskett rallied to tie the game in the
ninth. Two innings of tie ball were played before the
game was called, despite Lefty's isistence on
finishing it out. <br><br>In the second game, Scooter had
his best stuff, easily shutting down Vic, Lefty, and
John. Roughed up early for 4 runs, John held the
opposition to 1 run thereafter. <br><br>All in all, a pair
of good games, though the heat has raised concerned
as to how many games we can endure playing.
