like.<br><br>You Cambrian Park Players have finally been
introduced to the old Glenridge crowd. Those folks made me
look foolish in my youth. Mark Behrens was always a
hitting machine and Chris Bennett has long been a skilled
and powerful pitcher (as well as an excellent writer
who should post more often). Mark batted 800 against
me one long, sultry summer afternoon many years ago;
Chris pitched a no hitter the same afternoon (an
extremely rare feat in corkball). If Bennett's previously
published (and quite excellent) corkball piece would fit in
the meagre space which Yahoo has allowed me, y'all
could see for yourselves his talents weren't limited to
pitching. As far as Allen is concerned, well, if
base-running were a skill which applied in corkball, this guy
would lead the league in steals. He's a good all-around
player and his interesting conversational topics make
the games just that much better...<br><br>Mmm,...
Sierra Nevada draft (salivating). The best we've ever
had here has been a case of cold Shiner
Bock.<br><br>I would post more often, but the games in north
Austin are few and far between. So far our best
competition has been a few members of the Leander Volunteer
Fire Department's softball team.<br><br><br>Keep
