The league leading Zeigenhein team had the jacket ripped right off
their backs last night as they were beaten by the Denny Roedner and
the "Jacket Stripping" Kutis team.
JV and the Ziegenhein boys didn't look sharp as the Kutis team
pounded out numerous hits all night long. Hey JV, maybe you
shouldn't throw on Sundays! They ended up loosing the game 1 to nill
in a game that could have been ugly.
To make matters worst, TK and the Flooring boy, who started the night
just one point behind the Ziegenhein team, were pounding the Markwort
team into the ground and chased starting pitcher Mike Wyatt after
scoring six runs early in the game.
So the Flooring boys have now taken over first place with just three
games remaining in the season. And, Flooring and Ziegenhein square
off next week in the most important game of the season.
Both Ziegenhein and Flooring must still play Kriegshauser and L&H
Erection (both members of the newly formed Jacket Stripping Club)
once more before the end of the year.
Jock and the Old-timers have fallen out of the jacket race and are
only four points ahead of the Kutis team in the Stege Division. I
believe Kutis and the Old-timers meet one more time befor years end.
Kutis could still make a run for the Division title but they would
need to get hot and beat Jock which is a hard task to complete.
Meanwhile, in the race for batting title, Kobler and Eller both went
6 for 6 last night. Kobler's night should put him back over .500 and
Eller should move up to about .450.
