Feb 24th:

Players: V. Chente, Scooter B, & Brinckwirth Bros. + Don Van Santy
Cruz Mountain Bin-Ban Buskirk Esq. and Buddy Casual.

The players practiced during a 7 inning game. Scoot and John started
the first 4 innings; Vince and Lou finished the last 3 respectively.
The score went back and fourth, ending at 5-4, Scoot and Chente
winning. Scoot, Chente, and John all hit homers. Everyone had
sporadic control problems but pitched well considering...

Opening Day games will follow tradition and be played on April Fool's
Day--if not that Sunday, the 31st of March--then Monday April 1st, a
new holiday for SJSU--Caesar Chavez Day....jeesh, yer'd think the
calendar planners would have thought a little bit before they chose
Fools Day to celebrate the champion of migrant workers' rights.
