5 at bats

1 hit
1 RBI

From Cubs.com:
Chicago loaded the bases with one out in the second against starter Brian Lawrence (0-2) on a single by Prior, a hit batter and an infield single by Neifi Perez. Corey Patterson hit an RBI single, Lee hit a sacrifice fly, another run scored on a wild pitch, and Jeromy Burnitz added an RBI single to put the Cubs ahead, 7-0.

Patterson extended his hitting streak to nine games. He batted third in the second game for the first time since July 16, and was the leadoff man in the opener, when he hit his first home run. Patterson is 13-for-42 during his streak.

"Any time you talk to a player who has a hitting streak, it's definitely pretty nice," Patterson said. "It's just a payoff from what they're working on with early work and their focus and concentration."

From Yahoo! sports:

Prior also started the four-run second with a single up the middle, scoring off Corey Patterson's RBI single. Patterson has a nine-game hitting streak, the first for the Cubs at the start of the season since Brian McRae in 1996.

From SI.com:

Corey Patterson and Jeromy Burnitz both added RBI singles for Chicago. Patterson's second-inning single gave him a nine-game hitting streak.

"When you have a hitting streak it shows that what you are working on is good," Patterson said. "For me it's been focus and concentration."
