2006 ANNUAL COPPERAS COVE PISTOL CLUB INVITATIONAL TROPHY MATCH
Saturday, October 14, 2006
8 FUN STAGES - 4 stages before lunch and 4 stages after lunch Round count will be 172 (bring more)
REGISTRATION: Registration is limited to the first 40 eligible shooters. Registration opens August 2, 2006 and closes September 23, 2006 or earlier if the cutoff of 40 shooters has been met. Shooters must register in person at any CCPC event through September 23, 2005. Shooters must declare their Division and Classification at the time of registration.
ELIGIBILITY:
Each participating shooter must be a member in good standing with the Copperas Cove Pistol Club (CCPC) at the time of registration and must have shot at least one CCPC pistol match prior to registration.
MATCH FEE: A match fee of $40 per shooter must be paid at the time of registration. The $40 match fee includes all match and range fees, one lunch ticket, and one chance at the prize table. Additional lunch tickets may be purchased prior to September 23th.
TROPHIES and PRIZES: Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each division. Certificates will be awarded as usual to the top three finishers in each classification (Novice, Marksman, Sharpshooter, Expert, Master) by division. Each shooter is eligible for a prize by random drawing. The prize table is still being worked, but the total value should exceed $700.
MATCH RULES:
CCPC Action Pistol rules and scoring will be used for this match. All CCPC Action Pistol Divisions will be recognized: Open, Limited, CDP (8 round magazine limit), ESP (10 round magazine limit), and SSP (10 round magazine limit). All revolvers will compete as one Revolver Division and may chamber only 6 rounds. Re-shoots will be given for range and prop failures. No re-shoots will be allowed for ammunition or equipment failures (squib, jam, broken gun, magazine, etc.) If the shooter for one of these reasons cannot complete the stage, his time will be recorded, and the targets will be scored as is. If the Safety Officer stops a shooter because he thinks the shooter had a squib and no squib is found, that will be considered a range failure and a re-shoot will be allowed. If a shooter's gun breaks, he may continue shooting the match starting with the next stage with an alternate gun as long as the alternate gun is legal in the shooter's declared division.
For those of you who shot the Single Stack Challenge Match these stages will be slightly familiar. Some of your fellow shooters who normally shoot other pistols asked for a Grudge Match. So here it is. They're not the same, but they're close. Just as hard and just as fun.

Action Pistol in July will be a speed steel shoot. We've had steel matches before, but this one will be entirely different. There will be eight 5-round stages. That's right. Just five plates or poppers to each stage. Each stage will be shot twice for a total of 80 rounds. Need I say... bring more.

This is a specialty match for traditional 1911 pistols in 45 ACP. To participate in this match you must use a 1911 single stack pistol in 45 ACP and equipment that meets the following requirements.
Holsters
Holsters and magazine carriers must be legal for IDPA, USPSA Single Stack Division, or the 1911 Society’s Single Stack Classic (i.e. designed for everyday wear, concealable, and worn behind the centerline of the body on both sides.) No competition only race gear will be allowed.
Pistols
The definition of a 1911 Pistol is as follows: The 1911 Government Model as designed by John M. Browning and adapted by the U.S. Government as a service pistol, commonly known as the 5 inch Government Model of 1911 and 1911A1. Compact models such as the Colt Combat Commander, Officer’s Model and General Officer’s Model and similar models produced by other manufacturers are acceptable for competition. Basically, if your 1911 single stack 45 ACP pistol and magazines are legal for IDPA CDP Division, USPSA Single Stack Division, or the 1911 Society’s Single Stack Classic Match then they’re legal for our Single Stack Challenge Match.
Magazines
No extended magazines are allowed. Magazines (excluding slam pads) must fit flush with the base of the frame (excluding add on mag-well.) Slam pads on the bottom of magazines are allowed. Exception for Officer's Model length frames: at the start signal the preceding rule banning extended length magazines applies equally to Officer's Model length frames; however, after the start signal the shooter may reload to full length 7- or 8-round magazines.
The top three finishers in each classification will be awarded certificates. You will be classified based on your highest CCPC, IDPA or USPSA classification regardless of division.
