Any significant dent? If you don't need it to look pretty, it's probably
fixable, at least for urban/winter/beater use. Drill two holes on either
end of the crack to keep it from propagating any further. Maybe 1/16",
or a little bigger (same reason the hole is at the bottom of your seat
tube binder). Call around to some metal fabricators or motorcycle shops
(or maybe the OSU school of welding engineering) and find a welder
experienced with thinwall aluminum tubing. He can TIG the crack and
grind it down smooth enough to shot some Krylon over, and it'll likely
be stronger than the rest of the tube. Cash, and no receipt. The frame
will probably warp slightly, but at least it won't go the the recyclers.
