Reply | Forward Message #419 of 1603 |
I am forwarding this message on to everyone in my in-box, because I hope to see people support Jim and his book. Jim is a local cyclist, my friend, and now an editor of of (and contributor to) the book for bicycle lovers. The book is tabletop style with interviews, comics, short article...it is pretty addictive if your into bikes. Check out his message with dates and times for signings:

Note: forwarded message attached.

Good morning cyclists,

(Please excuse this one-time-only announcement. I copied your email addresses last night from cycling-related websites in Central Ohio. Please consider passing this on to friends and fellow club members.)

I am the editor of (and contributor to) The Bicycle Book: Wit, Wisdom & Wanderings, a collection of articles, stories and cartoons from a talented corps of 25 writers and cartoonists, including a Pulitzer Prize winner and cartoonists whose work has appeared in an array of leading publications--Discover, Dirt Rag, Reader's Digest, The New Yorker, Boys' Life, Forbes, the Washington Post and Oregon Cycling. The book also features an exclusive interview with Chris Carmichael, Lance Armstrong's long-time coach and friend, and musings of other all-stars like Dirt Rag publisher, Maurice Tierney, and Bike Culture founder and cycling announcer, Richard Fries. It's a tribute to bicycling by those who love to ride.  My longest piece in the book is a memoir of a ride I took across Ohio as a young man, and the friendship I made with a fellow rider.

I'm thrilled to be rolling into the great cycling city of Columbus this weekend (on 4 wheels--wish it was 2!) to discuss and sign my new book at two events:
1) Fri. 5-9 p.m. in the vendor area of TOSRV registration at the Hyatt on Capitol Square
2) Sat. 1 p.m. reading/signing at Kafe Kerouac, 2250 N. High Street, Columbus 43201 | 614-299-2672

Find out more about the book at my publisher's website:

I'm looking forward to meeting you TOSRV riders Friday. If you're not on the tour, please consider joining me over a cup of coffee at my reading/signing at Kafe Kerouac on Saturday. If I miss you this weekend, perhaps I'll catch you June 14 at Bread-N-Brew Bakery and Coffee Shop in Wellington (Lorain County) on the day of the World Record Attempt at the 'Largest Parade of Bicycles'.

Thanks for your time and--always--enjoy the ride.

Best,
Jim Joyce, Editor
