Subject: Cleveland's Velodrome


Hi All,

You may have heard a little buzz about a velodrome in Cleveland. Yes,
there is a project in the works, and we've made tremendous progress in
the past couple months. We have narrowed possible sites down to one
with the most potential- we are researching feasibility now and
beginning informal talks with the city. Also doing a mountain of
paperwork, including putting a trademark on the name. Its pretty cool
though. A website will be up soon describing our goals, and we've
started a blog: www.velodrome4c.blogspot.com so that everyone can keep
up on the progress.

The latest good news is that we have financial commitments over
$100,000. Now we can say the project is rolling- (forgive the pun)

There is a lot you can do for the project- mainly by spreading the
word. A good portion of the money is considered a matching grant- one
of the parameters is that the matching cant be from just a few donors.
The contributor wants to see strong support from the whole cycling
community. We have to put together a Pledge Sheet of everyone who
would like to promise any amount. The most important thing is as many
people as possible. You can pledge just by replying to this email
with your name and the amount you would like to contribute.

information about anything else you would like to do for the project,
or more specifics on the business plan, please don't hesitate to
