Hello from NOCO (Fort Collins-area)

We are trying to build a list of "reliable" sand VBers who wish to play sand VB
weeknights and/or weekends? We have a few reliable players--from local
lists--but wish to expand the list to get more participation.

CSU sand courts are excellent and Chipper's Bowling on Horsetooth Ave just
opened their two new sand courts/summer leagues. If you can join the league
that would be AWESOME-Coed 2s Competitive is Tuesday nights.

This 'ol 'beach boy' (NJ/VA/FL) is beggin' ya--haha!

Game on!

1.  There are a significant number of people that want to play grass volleyball in Highlands Ranch so we have set it up for Wednesday nights and Saturdays afternoons starting next week.  Got a net you can bring?  Let your organizer know.

2.  There is still a significant number of people that want to play grass volleyball in Clement Park, however, since I am now organizing the Highlands Ranch group, I will be unable to continue organizing the Clement Park group.  We have one person that has agreed to help, but this group needs one or two more volunteers.  So, if you have a net and ball, and want to help organize it, let me know and I'll give you the details and put you in touch with the right people.  It's really easy and fun, and you don't have to be at every event.  With several organizers, you can take turns if you want.  Just decide on the days you want to do it and go for it.

3.  As of today, I have decided to discontinue my volleyball event email list.  So, this will be my last email to you.  If you have received this email twice, then you are probably already a member of the Denver Volleyball Meet Up Group.  We currently have about 750 members from around the Denver metro area.  If you are not currently a member and want to continue to know where and when people are playing volleyball, then you need to sign up to receive the emails and have access to the calendar.  To do so, go here:

http://www.meetup.com   (http://volleyball.meetup.com/103)

4.  Please remember to always RSVP online if you are planning on attending a volleyball event.  It really helps the organizers to know how many nets are needed.  And please donate $1.00 when you can to the organizers.  We all volunteer our time, but the money helps with the actual costs of the website (no it's not free), and extra nets, balls, etc.

5.  Last but not least, a special "THANK-YOU" to Kerri for continuing the group.  I know she puts in alot of hours behind the scenes.  If you get a chance, please make sure to tell her thanks.

Thanks guys and I look forward to playing with you this summer!:)

Hi! I've received quite a few emails about this...so I am thinking about co-organizing grass volleyball in the Highlands Ranch area beginning in May if there is enough interest. We had alot of people from Littleton, Parker and Castle Rock playing with us last season at Clement Park. I am hopeful that the Clement Park group will continue as we had such a great turnout last season -- met alot of new people and had a great time. I have moved south to the Highlands Ranch area and won't be co-organizing the group in Clement Park this season.

The parks we are thinking about are near Highlands Ranch Parkway and Lucent (Marcy Park), and Highlands Ranch Parkway and Broadway (Northridge Park). These parks are both just a few minutes from C470. Redstone Park off Santa Fe and Town Center is another possibility.

We would probably do one weeknight (Tuesday or Wednesday -- with Wednesday being the preferred night right now) and Saturday afternoons.

If this is a convenient area for you, and you want to play RECREATIONAL CO-ED 6 on 6 and 4 on 4, email me back with your preferred weekday night (Tuesday or Wednesday) and let me know if you have a net you can commit to bringing.

If we do a Highlands Ranch group, I will also need a co-organizer with a decent net, so let me know if you would be willing to do this.

Thanks!:)

April 4, 2009 – Denver, CO   Colorado Performance Volleyball Club (www.coloradoperformance.org) qualified fourteen boys to the elite USA Volleyball High Performance program during nationwide tryouts.  More elite athletes were selected from the ranks of Colorado Performance than all other boys clubs in the region combined, proving that Colorado Performance is leading the growth of competitive boy's volleyball in the Rocky Mountain region.

The High Performance Program at USA Volleyball is the "pipeline" for young volleyball athletes who aspire to reach the elite level of their sport and who dream to one day represent the USA on the National Men's or Women's Volleyball Team.

Doug Beal, CEO of USA Volleyball said in a letter to the High Performance selectees "Each year I have been involved with USA Volleyball - currently as CEO and formerly as coach of the Men's National Team - I am more impressed with the motivation of young volleyball players to achieve the highest levels of their sport.  Nowhere is this reflected more clearly than in the energy of a High Performance tryout.  They are exciting events; and one cannot help but feel a sense of pride when looking out on the sons and daughters who are battling with their talent, energy and passion to achieve their dream."

"Colorado Performance is proud of all of our athletes and we congratulate those who were selected for the USA Volleyball High Performance program" said Ric Miranda, Boys Lead Coach.  Selected athletes include: Alex Arriaga (15U), Eric Arriaga (16U), Brandon Barbour (16U), Jack Battumer (14U), Trevor Burr (15U), Michael Cortois (15U), Mitchell Decker (14U), Matthew Fracassini (14U), Greyson Holle (14U), Matthew McLaren (14U), Michael Moore (15U), Jake Reed (14U), Jordan Rich (16U) and Damon Sichler (16U).

Colorado Performance Volleyball Club offers novice and elite level programming for boys ages 11 and above including introductory camps, leagues, private and group instruction and competitive-level training programs.  Events, open gyms and play opportunities are scheduled throughout the year.  Interested parents and boys are encouraged to contact Colorado Performance Volleyball Club at 720.733.0459 or www.coloradoperformance.org for more information and to sign-up for our email announcement list.

Hello Coaches,
My name is Tony Fathergill and I am the founder of PACIFIC COAST VOLLEYBAL
CAMPS! I founded PCV Camps 13 years ago in San Jose, California with many goals
in mind. My main goal has always been to offer an amazing camp experience at a
very affordable price and the best part is- we travel to you! Yes- my highly
educated and talented staff travels to your school or facility to teach your
kids the essential fundamentals of our great sport of volleyball! We want to
spread our tremendous knowledge of volleyball in order to help your kids reach
their individual and team goals! Why travel to another over packed- over priced
camp when you could stay right at home and have a more productive and
inexpensive camp? Through my knowledge and experience I have found a receipe
that produces possitive results! I am so sure and proud that our system works-
I guarentee every PCV Camp. I would also be happy to get you plenty of
refferences from totally satisfied coaches that truly believe in our camps! The
bottom line is- I care about the future of volleyball and more importantly I
care about the value of teaching our youth the importance of things like:
Hardwork, Teamwork, Pride, and having FUN! I have so many amazing stories of
the lives that we have been fortunate to touch and I would like to get you more
information on our PCV Mission! It's a great time for volleyball and I would
like to provide your area, school or club with an exciting experience at a great
price! We offer many different types of camps for your needs. Please check
out our website or contact me directly and I would be happy to get your more
information on this incrediable opportunity.
Thanks for your time and best of luck!

We have a fun coed REC 6's league beginning March 18th, running for 10 weeks in
Wheat Ridge (I70 / Ward). This league is a fun, no pressure outlet for those who
either just want to have some relaxing fun or breaking the ice when it comes to
getting onto the court.

See our website for full details; www.coloradovolleyballconnection.com, under
the 'upcoming leagues' link to the left. There is room for some singles and 1
more team. This league plays Wednesday evenings. Let us know if we can help get
you, a friend or family member moving around on the court.

REC Leagues in our summer program are very popular too and will begin the first
week in June, outdoor in the sand.
