Info About "Round Robin" Tournaments
These tournaments are structured for continuous play—you “sit” very little during these tourneys (only need to warm up once), and they are typically over before 3pm or 4pm (at the latest). You play every team in the tournament one time (usually 10 to 12 teams -- rally scoring to 21 or 25 points)—which means you get at least 8 to 10 games in during pool play (like your average summer doubles tourney). Since game length times vary, you can take breaks between games to refuel/snack. Typically, the top 4 teams break pool and playoff for a championship. We ran lots of these last summer…people love them, loads of fun!!!
