2007 is Sandia Mountain classic 1st year of production.

Sandia mountain classic is scheduled be the largest 2-on-2 sand tournament in New Mexico.

• The Sandia mountain classic 2007 Event in Albuquerque will take place may 12 & 13, 2007 (Rain or Shine).
• This will be a Double-elimination Tournament
  
• Registrar at: www.plasticclothing.com or Event Registration under Special Instructions or Order Comments add you partners name, male or female and the division you would like to play in.
  
• Open players will have a cash pool of 1,500.
• Team entry deadline is May 1, 2007 (with discounts for early registration).
• Open player's entry fees: $60 per team and $70 per team if registered after may 1,2007.
• Entry fees include event T-shirts for all registered players
• Close to 200 players and spectators are expected to participate in Sandia mountain classic in Albuquerque.
• Sandia mountain classic will take place at Charlie's sand box and stone face tavern – at the corner of Paso del note and san Pedro Albuquerque, NM

Team divisions are Men's; Women's "Open" "A" "BB"

Adults are broken into levels of volleyball expertise in each division. They are:

• "Open" -- Elite Tournament Veterans. I'm great and everyone knows it!
• "A" Advanced -- Very Experienced. I got game and most would agree!
• "BB" Intermediate -- Played Tournaments Before. I won't embarrass myself or those who come to watch me!

Tournament Timeline:

• Check-in: each day - 8:00 a.m. with play to begin immediately afterwards. All pre-registered teams must check-in Late registrations will be accepted - space available.
• Saturday, : Men's and Women's Open/Men's A, BB/Women's A, BB
• Sunday, : Men's and Women's Open/Men's A, BB, playoffs/Women's A, BB playoffs.
• Men's and Women's Open: Double-elimination; Finals - Sunday afternoon/ cash, merchandise prizes.
• Formats: Traditional scoring (side-out scoring) will take place for all amateur divisions. Men's and Women's Open divisions will play AVP short court Rules.
