From the women's side: How high does Stony Brook's RPI have to get
before they become a viable at-large candidate? Right now they are at
27, with an SOS of 12. 21 of the 24 teams they have played in the Top
150.
On the other hand, they play in the America East (hardly a multi-bid
league) where they are 9-4, tied for second with Boston U. They only
have 2 wins over the top 50, both at home. They also have 3 losses
outside the Top 100, 6-6 R+N, and only 1-3 against the Top 50, 5-5 vs.
the Top 100.
Is Stony Brook going to get committee attention based on RPI alone? If
not, does their RPI bump Hartford up a seed line or two?
