INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Missouri's basketball team is on N-C-A-A

probation for three years. The school also will lose one

scholarship next season and two in the 2006-07 season, but there is

no ban on postseason play.

The N-C-A-A infractions committee found the Tigers violated

N-C-A-A recruiting rules from 1999 to 2003 and rejected the

school's explanation that most of the violations were inadvertent.

The committee says Missouri's men's basketball staff took risks

and pushed the limits of the rules. The case developed when former

point guard Ricky Clemons accused ex-assistant coach Tony Harvey of

paying him 250 dollars. Harvey later resigned.

The N-C-A-A decision extends by one year Missouri's own decision

to put the program on program for two years. In addition, there

won't be any renegotiation of coach Quin Snyder's contract until at

least July of 2006.

I just saw that the NCAA layed down the law with Mizzou on the AP
wire. I saw a couple of stories on some sports websites. I tried to
look on the ncaa.org website on the issue, but they had nothing. I
haven't looked at it for a couple months, but I see they have a hunky
dory looking webiste that talks about the good things, but I couldn't
find nothing on NCAA infractions. Can anyone find their report? I
would like to read it completely and what was completely said.
