And that's the fun of college football. Most people like the bowl that their
team plays in. The others are fun to watch, but importance generally follows
these guidelines.
1. Your school
2. Your conference
3. The good BCS games
4. Your geographic area
If you didn't go to school in a major conference it follows something a little
like this.
1. The big school in your geographic area
2. The good BCS games
3. Other good games
For example. I went to USC, therefore the most important bowl is any bowl USC
is in. The second most important bowl is any bowl another Pac-10 team is in.
Generally I root for that Pac-10 team, unless it is UCLA in which case I root
for UCLA to lose. Then I like following the WAC and the MWC just to see how
they do. Finally I follow every other game, but the interest is less. That all
said, unless you are a Notre Dame fan, most of us fans from other schools like
Michigan, USC, Florida St, etc, like to root against the Irish.
